Can anyone tell me any thing about these--Amphilophus xiloaensis??? I am thinking about getting one instead of the regular MIDAS, but would like a little more info first. Thanks.

A. xiloaensis is one of three Amphilophus endemic to Lago Xiloa, Nicaragua, along with A. amarillo and A. saggitae. Xiloaensis grows to ten or eleven inches, so it is smaller than the midas cichlid, but in my experience xiloaensis is much more aggressive. I have an eight inch wild caught male that I have to keep solo because of its aggression.

Nice info cookie, I'll keep that wrote down. clgkag, where you at in MO?

Thanks for the info, I am in Raymore.
