Im thinking of buying a 32" Three toed Amphiuma.

If you have any experience in keeping these extraordinary creatures please share here.

They eat crayfish and need clean water. Be sure you have a solid lid on its tanke because they can and will escape otherwise. Use a sandy substrate or larger smooth rocks (just not gravel or crushed shells).

But they don't just eat crayfish. They eat almost everything you drop in the tank, shirmps, lobster, beefheart, earthworms.

About the gravel.
This is the gravel i currently have. It really would be great if i could keep it, i really like it.. plus changing the gravel takes like 2-3 hours. -.-

Also make sure the screen can be locked, they can push the screen up and get out that way
