Im thinking of buying a 32" Three toed Amphiuma.

If you have any experience in keeping these extraordinary creatures please share here. ;)
 
They eat crayfish and need clean water. Be sure you have a solid lid on its tanke because they can and will escape otherwise. Use a sandy substrate or larger smooth rocks (just not gravel or crushed shells).

But they don't just eat crayfish. ;) They eat almost everything you drop in the tank, shirmps, lobster, beefheart, earthworms. :)

About the gravel.
This is the gravel i currently have. It really would be great if i could keep it, i really like it.. plus changing the gravel takes like 2-3 hours. -.-

Also make sure the screen can be locked, they can push the screen up and get out that way
