Yup. Give it a whirl, people. Just prop a mic up against your tank, plug it into your stereo and crank it. Watch out for feedback, though. You'll get to experience the sounds your fish would be experiencing if they had ears. I doubt the lateral line picks up all the nuances an ear would. Anyway, it sounds best if you kill most of the higher frequencies and boost the lows and mids a bit. It's rather soothing after a few minutes. I had to unplug my powerhead, it's kind of noisy. Otherwise, I'm all set to record my three raphael catfish talking tonight.
