@krj-118- So still no metal.

Yeah - I would still say no metal in a shark tank - At all. At very least make sure no metal can have direct contact with the water in any way.

While sharks maybe be fine with metal(in the form of ship wrecks) in the open ocean. In tanks it can be quite a different story - since tanks are a very tiny faction of the size of ocean.

Even the largest Public Aquariums in the World are only equaled to about 1/1000th(at best) of the size of just 1 square mile of Ocean. And the largest private shark tanks are likely in the range of 1/10,000-1/20,000th(at best) of 1 square mile of Ocean. So any potential problems are greatly magnified and concentrated.

Do you think it would be necessary to replace the metal in this tank that I want to use?

It looks like the frame is coated steel I was going to replace that with pvc.

If you look at your thread saying your are building a pond (when you posted that link the first time) - I already pointed out that is a PVC framework and would be fine. ;)

I know I had posted that picture earlier. To me the frame looks like metal tubes bolted together. I was trying to figure out if it would be ok if it was metal. I appreciate both you Zoodiver and Krj for helping me out with this.
I found that pool at biglots for a big discount! So I'm going to be purchasing that particular part of it soon!

I'm still trying to figure out why you are hung up on using metal for support.

I've used (as well as many other aquariums and large scale tank users) PVC for years with no problems at all. It's a tried and true method for pools like the one in the link you posted.

I'm not hung up on using metal. I completely agree with you now that pvc is better. I was just saying the frame on that particular pool looks like it is metal to me. I would rather have it be pvc but I'm trying to keep the cost on this project low. So if it is indeed metal I wanted to make sure it would be ok so I don't have to spend more money purchasing pvc. If it is pvc I'll be extremely happy because it will be that much better. I'm not arguing against you I just wanted to make sure that this pool will work either way.
