AN EXPENCIVE DAY

I:( had a feeling things were going to well

when the aro com arrived last week the 24k i got from HP for £1600 was a bit to big to mix in the com so i had to move it out fast and the only place that would take the aro until the weekend when someone was picking it up was MA St Alburns

i took the 24k to the shop on tuesday and they put it in a tank with a leopoldi ray
when i met the guy who was takeing the 24k at the shop today it looked like the leo had chewed the aro abit and both the barbels had gone

as barbels on aros dont grow back that well sometimes i told the guy to take the aro for 3 months to see if the barbels grew back then if he was happy send me payment (i know him well)

i thought it was best to move the aro out of the tank with the leo just in case it chewed it again

well to cut a long story short the 24k was only in a poly box for 3hrs and this was the out come

even thow the aro didnt die in my care this is the most expencive fish i have ever lost

not much i can say realy :cry:

the aro was doing so well in my tank and feeding very well a bit fat to tell the truth

all that moving from tank to tank in less than one week was probably like getting a fat bloke to run a marathon

the guy who took the aro is a doctor and he even gave the aro a dose of addrenaline when it was dead to try to bring it back around but no luck

oh well this is the risk you take when you play with expencive fish

i have never had an expencive fish like this die in my care but just looking at the pics the guy sent me made me feel sick :(

he said he would sent me the chip and cert back if i wanted but i trust the guy enought to just let the aro rest in peace :cry: :cry:
 
I know exactly what it feels like...not to speak about the money.....

expensive fish or not it always sucks to lose a prized fish....
 
That's horrible. I would get at least the cert, maybe even the chip, so you can still have a small part of such a beautiful creature.
