It must be all that trout! I like that California isn't widely known for big bass (except if you live here). We are good at keeping secrets. My biggest bass came from a 2 acre farm pond (10#). Go figure.nice. i was wondering if they'd even talk about the trout fed bass in cali. cali doesn't get much press in bass fishing, but this is where the big swimbait craze started for bass fishing. what i found interesting was that northerns live longer and while their warmer water counterparts are rather short lived.
I went to Colorado a few years ago and I couldn't believe how many locals were into bass fishing instead if flyfishing for trout. Then again, they couldn't understand why I would drive nine hours to Colorado from Missouri just to hike up a mountain to fish for 4-8" brookies using a fly rod. Different strokes for different folks I guess.nice. i was wondering if they'd even talk about the trout fed bass in cali. cali doesn't get much press in bass fishing, but this is where the big swimbait craze started for bass fishing. what i found interesting was that northerns live longer and while their warmer water counterparts are rather short lived.
I've had 4-8" brookies that put up more of a fight than bass twice their size.I went to Colorado a few years ago and I couldn't believe how many locals were into bass fishing instead if flyfishing for trout.
