The Grotto
Here is an update of my Red Hybrid project. This is a 125 with Red Texas growouts from cjbarth, Red Istlanums, Red Tiger Mota's, and Festae. There seems to be a large male from Cj's group and the female Istlanum running the tank and i see some showing off from time to time:) I have some really nice Rt's from Cj, it might be hard to see in the video but i have some fading, peeling, and great pearls coming in:)

nice fish i really like he red istlanum , whenever u wanna sell him i will buy him for my 72
 
Thanks bro but the one u see is a female and not for sale:) I will be thinning out some of the others down the road tho.
 
Awesome fish and set-up!!!! Looks like you already got a fader rt from Chris, hopefully a fertile female?
 
Thank you. I should have pulled and vented a few yesterday while I was cleaning and re-arranging their tank. The larger one with all the pearls I think is male, and he has some nice reds coming in:) too bad the video didn't pick it up.
 
The one @ 0:15 looked like one of mine that I got from Chris. He died :( I'm still surprised there aren't anymore like my prized RT though.
 
I got a awesome 7inch unfaded pearly male from Chris that I've grown out, (looks very similar to his unfaded pearly male from his batch#1) I'm trying to breed him
to my female red fader fh, she layed eggs 4 days ago and it looked like my male did his thing but I think he's shooting blanks, all the eggs turned white. It is his 1'st time breeding, but he mite be infertile? I'll try it again and see what happens?

Sorry to hear that it died. I'm happy with what I got from Chris, I'm not really looking for a red male, I'd rather have females to breed with. I might have a smaller guy that looks to have potential like your guy but we'll see:)

I wouldn't worry yet about your male. Give him another shot and good luck when that time comes.
