So today after school I got home and noticed my male Trimac (fairly new resident) had a bit of a frayed tail fin, and upon closer inspection I saw this white little hair growing out of it. It is attached at one end and free floating on the other. I have not seen any flashing or any other white threads growing out of anywhere els on him or the female.

Tank: 90g
Temp:82*F
pH :7.5
GH:7
KH:6
NH3/4: 0ppm
NO2: 0ppm
NO3: less than 10ppm

here is a pic, you can see the little bugger on the top of his tail fin. Let me know what you guys think, any guidance or advice is appreciated.

I recently picked up a dozen baby IT's and today I noticed something very similar on one of their fins. I tried to remove it with tweezers, but it didn't work.

If anyone has any info on what this is, that'd rock!

Ok I just looked at it under a scope and from everything I looked at it is definately an anchor worm. Any treatment suggestions that dont involve high dollar impossiable to get your hands on medication? Since Lernaea are copepods/crustations would copper sulfate be an effective treatment?
