Hi everyone,
I am looking for some advice/help. I am worried about my Archer fish! About one week ago I noticed a red spot on one of his sides. I thought that it had been from the heater or from one of the other fish in my tank but tonight I noticed a smaller spot on the other side of him. The original spot that I noticed looks red like a sore or wound whereas the small spot that just appeard is more pinkish, pepto bismol colored. I did some research and all I could find was that it was possibly anchor worm. I hate googling because it always scares me so I thought Id post it on here and wait until Thursday to call my LFS.
He is in a 55gal with 3 other geophagus. Water parameters are as follows:
NO3+ : 20
NO2- : 0
Hardness : ~150
Chlorine : 0
Alkalinity : ~80-120
pH : ~6.8 - 7.2
I will be doing another water change tonight to lower the nitrates. Pictures are posted below.
All comments are appreciated! He is my favorite fish
