I have a breeding group of your standard albino ancistrus. 1 male, 4 females. Male sits in his cave all day, fanning out the entrance to get the females to come in, I've seen him get one in on 4 separate occasions and he's trapped the female on two of those, but I haven't gotten any eggs. All the females are fat with eggs, all the females visit him occasionally, but for the most part they just do female pleco things like fight over the singular rock in the tank in spite of there being like 7 caves and eat leaves and driftwood. I've done my part, the tank's at like 82, I give them green beans daily, do cold water changes, etc. Only thing I haven't done is give them regular sources of protein like bloodworms or give them flow. Is that what's next? The tank is shared by platies.
