As some of you might remember a few months ago I started a breeding project with pink convicts to try to get some marbles, as well as some blue cons.
The largest was 3" the smallest 1".
2 weeks ago I finally had a spawn with 2 pinks with black spots[calico gene].
Eggs hatched got free swimmers everything all good.
3 days later I found a floater.
So I flushed him and did a water change.
The next day 3 more dead.
Water change again.
Today came home to 4 dead.
The remaining 2 pink cons, one from the spawning pair and the other a female with a lot of black [the one I hoped would spawn] is all that's left.
Water test good fish are eating .
However they keep going to the top back corners and just look up.
No gasping no jumping no fungus no ick.
These guys have lived for 2 months and change without fighting .
So my question is did the "spare" female take everyone out?
ost of the dead fish didn't have any damage or bites .
Which I thought was odd.
