had 60 of these umbees and now it's down the the last 3.
1, my favourite, has been the biggest and most aggressive from the start but it doesn't have as much blue speckling through the face. the other 2 are equally as nice and have more speckling.

which would you choose?

can anyone sex them? i'm assuming they are all males as usually they would be the ones to survive out of that many fish

You can see the ovisipoitor (probably spelled that wrong) on the first fish, looks female to me.

Umbee are unusual in that the females tend to out compete the males for food when small, part of the reason why I think there is such a glutton of females around. I kept the middle sized of the three I bought and ended up with a male.

Right now it's just a crapshoot, with the odds stacked for female.
