How can we move our Manjano Anemone from one peice of live rock to another safely, without a lot of stress?

manjano are a pest anemone you want them out of your tank they do nothing but cause problems

We have a 1.5 currently cycling right now for a mini-salt tank, we were thinking if we could transport them it would be cool to see them grow. We eventually want coral in the 29Gal so we don't need a pest in there. If they die they die, thats how we look at it. Whats the easiest way to get it off of our Best peice of live rock and onto another one, if possible? We're new to live rock and corals so we thought it'd be an easy experiment for our first "coral".

Use a wire cutter & snip the rock underneath the nem to take some of the rock out under the base. Then take some Super Glue Gel to glue it wherever you want it.

So we tried to transport the 2 anemones last night from one rock to another, one got a little mutilated and the other came off fairly nicely. We put that one on a peice of liverock and in our 1.5 custom tank. we woke up this morning and the anemone had moved, and is starting to open a little. We'll see what happens in the next day or two.

Easiest way to move an anemone is to use a powerhead and have the jet shooting the water towards the anemone's base and it will will get the hint and move. The flow rate will depend on the anemone.

I didn't know they moved like that either until mine kept unwedging itself from the rocks. It was on the top of the tank glass last night. Kinda wierd

one thing you will learn is they go where they want you might be moving it again lol

We moved it into another tank so we aren't worried where it wants to go from there. we just wanted to get it out of the 29gal. Its currently in its own 1.5gal. with 5 hermit crabs.

I really dont know if its doing to good though. The night we put it in the tank it moved, since then we added more live rock so its not in the exact spot in the tank it was before. It opened the first day but hasn't really opened the biggest since then. There is alot of light on the tank right now (26watts), could that be hurting it? Anything we could do to help it?
