anemone- this normal?

is it normal for them to shrink up every so often. i was just given one and twice it has shrunk up then was back to normal. dont know much about these guys. thanks.​

Sounds normal, they do this to flush out their insides with new water.
What kind of anemone is it? What lighting u using?
