Ok, alright thats cool. hey Yoji i have another question for ya, how fast will these corals grow? i have only had them for about 5 hours now and i love em! cant wait to get more.

depends on what kinds of corals you have and if your meeting their needs. I am running a good mix of LPS, SPS, and Softies. Anenomes require great water quality and they dont like much flow what kind do you have?!

Yeah, corals are the heat. I was a bit nervous at first but i think this is gonna be my next big thing. Good thing im a baller! lol

The clownfish hosting it will be a big step in it getting attached. How long have you had it? I'm usually concerned if the anemone doesn't attach somewhere after 24-48 hours. One of the biggest signs of a healthy anemone is the fact that is well-attached to some surface(along with tentacle extension and a good appetite). If he doesn't attach somewhere, but manages to stay somewhere, try feeding him there, and he may decide that it is a favorable spot and then attach there. make a shelter for him so he doesn't get blown around a lot just to get him attached and take it from there. Good luck!!

Also: The two corals in the picture both have the potential to grow very quickly under the right conditions: for the xenia: decent flow, good lighting, surfaces to spread to, trace amounts of nitrate, iodine, and I believe a pH of 8.6 or so.
For the zoos: decent flow, bright lighting, surfaces to spread to, trace elements, and equivalent pH.

2 more things: you could make it work w/ 330 gph in a 10 gallon, just make him a little cave to sit in, or try to position him in a corner or any dead spot. I believe that type of long-tentacle can get about 10-12+ inches in diameter, so keep that in mind in the long-term scheme of things.

thats quite a bit, just place him somewhere calmer and see how he does. Do you know what kind of anemone it is, it looks to be a condy.

Xenia grows VERY FAST I started off with only one stalk of pompom xenia and now have 19 stalks in only a 2 month time.
