Hey guys, What anemones can I buy for low light tanks, with live rock? I have a biocube 29 gallon, stock lighting.

Also, My ammonia and Nitrite is at 0, my Nitrate is sky high, so I am doing a partial. It is a new tank though, and I have brown algae growing like mad. Any advice?

well get a good clean up crew and do some small waterchanges every other day for a week or so. This will get your nitrate down. are you running some type of a skimmer. Its hard on the bio cube tanks becuase there skimmer is well, junk lol.

about the only anemone i can think of for low light tanks would be a condy, but clown fish rarely host in them. They as well as all other anemones need a well established tank so your tank will need to sit for a bit longer, about 7 months at least. its also be advised against keeping corals with them. They are disruptive in a tank, constantly moving about and stinging watever is in its path.

aiptaisia would do great in that tank, otherwise it would be a good idea to get your nitrates down to a resonable level(try for at least under 10ppm) and wait until you get a good maintanence schedule going and everything stable and under control until you add an anemone.

Interesting...Thanks guys.

Did a partial, will do weekly partials. This is for my mom, not me. She should be amused with just a clown for awhile.

I heard green star polyps were good.

There are flower anemones that stay small & tulip anemones too:
