I keep some assasin snails in my 20g shrimp tank, but recently got some pond snails in my snakehead tank. I`ve been manually removing them so far but can`t get them all.
I was thinking about moving a few from the shrimp tank to my snakehead tank, to help deal with the snail problem.
My questions is, are assasin snails dangerous to fish if eaten ?
Can`t seem to find any information on how the assasin snail kills, wether its by force or they carry any poisens

No, assassin snails are not dangerous to fish and I doubt your snakehead will ever attempt to eat a snail as small as one inch assuming your snakeheads are 12 inches and over. Assassin snails kill their prey by latching on it and stabbing it with their tube. They do have toxins to immobilize their prey but I have never heard of anyone's fish getting ill after consuming assassin snails. Someone had loaches that ate the assassin snails with no ill effects.

thanks lupin

Its some young pluero`s thats in the tank, they dont pay any attention to the pond snails but assasin snails do have some larger things moving about, and faster paced.
Gonna dump some in later today and see if they leave them alone.
