Angel filtration

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
hey fellow aussie =)

Most of my mates either use UGF or sponge filters or even a combo of both, depending on your tank size, even those "all in one" filters are fine, hang on the back ones. something that will allow slow movement of water. you could use a canister filter aslong as the water was not flowing too rapidly, they are delicate fish, current and rapids stress them out.

an option also is to run a FBF. these things are usualy low flow and are great for housing good bacteria.

make sure you do freq water changes.

good luck!

I use cheap corner filters in my breeding tanks.

Aquaclear and corner filter combo in my growout tanks.

angel fish need regular water changes.

:)

(like most fish) esp when there isnt any bio filtration!

once to twice weekly of 20% w/c on my pairs and twice weekly on my growout tanks.

If using a canister filter, use a spray bar, and point it at the front of the tank. I would actually use a sponge filter for breeding, and avoid the undergravel, can suck the fry to the bottom.
