Ok, been a while since I posted but have a question. First a little background.

My wife and I have a 75 gallon with 3 angels (1 Koi and 1 Zebra that have paired and 1 white veil angel all at about 4 inches long) 1 common pleco at 10-12 inches, 4 gouramis, 2 mollies, 2 zebra danios, 1 pictus, 1 blue lobster, and a large apple snail. We really have outgrown our current tank and can't afford at this time to get a larger tank.

I am considering getting rid of the gouramis, mollies, and danios. My question is what would be a good fit with the angels? I have considered making the tank an all angel tank and trying to get a few pairs going but how many angels could I have in a 75 gallon without crowding them or what other type of fish could I put in this tank with the angels and pleco? If need be, I can trade in all of the other fish for others but I prefer to only take out only the ones listed.

I think that a 75 gallon is good for one pair, but you could possibley put 2 if you had something big int he middle of the tank to divide the territories.

I would get a couple Corys, I like emerald greens, and get ride of the list of fish that you mentioned possibly getting rid of.

i would get rid of the ones listed and get corys a smaller pleco and get rid of the big one and discus or a small school of cardinals

The common pleco should not be kept in a 75g anyway. Replace it with whiptail pleco, clown pleco (Panaque maccus) or bristlenose pleco.

For angels, two pairs will fit just fine especially if you ensure there is adequate territory for them. A heavily planted or decorated setup will perfectly ensure the safety of the two pairs. You can still keep one pair by themselves. Adding more angels will only mean additional pairs. Angels are very easy to breed and will easily pair up (even females do) thus leading to several conflicts. You'll be safer to choose between one or two pairs in your tank, or still attempt a group of 6-8 angels and have spare tanks for those that will pair up.

Ditch the rest and keep corydoras, rummy nose tetras, blue rams (preferably two to three pairs) and even diamond tetras. I'm biased though since I personally like these fish as tankmates with angels.
