Angelfish are EAZSY to breed.....My local fish store breeds angelfish and Discus for a living.......Angelfish are capable of breeding of up to two times a month, maybe three...Two safely..I say safely because the pair have to rest in between spawns in order to maintain health......At my lfs(local fish store), he the pairs are kept in their own 20-25g tall tanks..The setup is simple:
No gravel
air pump
Small heater set at 78 degrees
Either a brick or a PVC pipe for the pair to lay eggs on..........
It is best for the fry to be siphon out as soon as they hatch..This is because you will get a better turnout rate....Although the parents protect and feed their fry, sometimes a few will be swalloed.......A minimum of 55g is the best to growout the fry to an age of two months. Two months is the safe size to sell trade juveniles................
