So normally I catch them right before or shortly after they've finished and are just protecting the eggs...
I know it's nothing special but, I think it's soo facisinating that fish are comfortable enough and happy to just breed like this.
I now have them in their own tank so I'm hoping I don't have to do anymore serious artifical raising:)

Pretty cool. I got an Angel about that size. I don't know the sex though. And just today picked up another one but it is tiny, like one inch. So far no major aggression. My Angel is kind of a bully to the other fish. Do you know how to sex them? Would be cool if I end up with a pair. WHat size tank do you keep your pair in?

HHey,

You can tell the sex..if you look closely..the one with dark markings is the female, the other male. The only time you can really sex them is when they are getting ready/breeding as the "mating" organs come out.
These guys are just over a year old, and lay eggs about every 10 days now..haha.

Mine are in a 40 gal by themselves now:)
