Are you planning on raising the eggs on your own? or waiting until they become wigglers to artificially raise? I've noticed prior to my angels having their own tank..any stress would trigger them to eat their eggs. They'd rather eat them than something else..lol
If you take the parent's away once they have laid and feritlized, your going to need to have an airstone near by the eggs to mimic the parents"fanning". The other issue is often times this isn't enough to prevent fungus and you need to dose them with Methalyn blue, which kills any beneficial bacteria in the tank, so I wouldn't do it in any established tank.
In my experience, I remove the eggs that are laid on a leaf, with the leaf into a seperate 5 gal tank with a heater and airstone. Dose it with methalyn blue , do water changes every other day and once I begin seeing wigglers I remove them from that tank and into a cycled 10 gal tank with sponge filter and bare bottom.
This is their grow out tank until they get a lil larger and I move them into a 55 with plants ect.
The nice thing now is that I have the tank for my breeding pair of angels heavily planted, and they are the sole inhabitants. They now raise the babies until they are free swimming and then I turkey baster them out into a seperate grow out tank..Eliminants that entire middle process..
Good luck and hope all goes well.
