Angel Fish & Cichlids?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I guess you mean cichlids from Malawi/Tanganyika? If so, that is not a good idea. They need different water conditions, and the Malawi/Tanganyika cichlids are too agressive.

But if you mean african dwarfcichlids (Pelvicachromis, Nanochromis etc.) it probably will work.

you can put certain genus like pelvichromis or nanochromis with angelfish. These are mostly riverine fish. The lake type cichlids are too aggressive and have different water requirements.

not a good idea, africans are to agressive and the water params are different

Anythings possible but its not likely to turn out well. Most africans are alot tougher than angels
I have 6 silver dollars in my mbuna tank, but they arent territorial like most angels.
