Angel issues!

am out of answers...
I am so sick of fish dying
Today my beautiful healthy female angel had the top of her dorsal fin frayed
It was just the fin and then maybe the top 1/2 inch was like little strings
I put in a dose of stress coat to repair fins
She flipped out and started twitching and shaking
Now tonight she is just lethargic and then excited and like OCD
Any suggestions welcome on how to save her

ok so i just checked in her and shes doing better
the spines on the top were not damaged, but the fin part was missing
it is starting to reconnect
the question is should i pit stress coat in again, as it helped the fin, but also made her all crazy

Temp? Water parameters? How often do you do water changes and what % ?

temp is abt 80-82
no ammonia no nitrite 10 ppm nitrate
35% water change every 2 weeks

Sounds like water quality issues, what kind of filtration do you have and how often is it maintained?

We have around 40 pairs breeding , check your water from the tap . How do you fill your tanks ? Aged water or straight from the tap? Do you add chlorine,chlormine and ammonia removing agents to the water or to the tank when doing a WC?

If you continue to have problems and your water parameters are in line I would try new stock from a Breeder.

well it went away and now today it just got worse
i think it is fin rot
it is my fault i hav not been keeping up with water changes enough, and i need to add filtration, i thought i was getting a new tank so i was putting off doing some maintanence
