I am watching my angel lay eggs, very cool! She's the only one in a widely varied community tank, so there's no chance of them getting fertilized. I've NEVER seen any of my fish do this, so it's really fascinating to watch.
She chose the connector on the intake tube of one of my Emperor 400s. I got to see the ovipositor with the eggs actually being laid.

I wondered what the fish were doing over there, what all the interest was. I go and look to see what appears to be eggs and she as well as a few others eating them. Then I see her belly up to the connector and actually depositing the eggs. I've had her for well over a year and never seen this from her before. She's obviously got a belly full of eggs remaining, cuz she still looks fat (which I hadn't noticed).

Think I'm gonna try to video it. Very cool...:headbang2

She is the only angel in the tank? If so the eggs will be duds as there has to be a male to fertilize them. When it appeared she was eating them, she was most likely blowing on them. After lights out tonight, I can almost guarantee they will dissappear.

Yeah I know they won't be fertilized, but she definitely wasn't blowing on them. She (and the other fish) were eating them. They're gone off the intake tube just as soon as they're laid.

Almost everybody in there are enjoying caviar as I type this.

OOHRAH!
I actually saw that 220 at RMS Mike, I WISH I HAD THE ROOM FOR IT! Amazing deal. :headbang2
Instead I came home with another Discus, Trumpet Knife and a ferret. The ferret is the only one that doesn't really look at home in the tank, but don't let anyone tell you they can't swim...

Those Trumpet Knife fish are pretty neat.....I have 15 Discus currently....And 9 Clown Loaches, my largest is 6"..
