Well you may have read my thread of "Bad Idea Getting Barbs" well first off I learned that there is no such thing as a perfect tankmate for stingrays. Well Angel my motoro stingray has a bite mark one on the end of the disc which is pretty much red and a small tiny chunk of his disc is missing. Should I just add aquarium salt and do the foloowing: "Add 1 rounded tablespoon for every 5 U.S. gallons of aquarium water"? Just checking because some people put half of other medications for rays. Thanks

for something thats pretty small like that, i would just add 1 lb per 100 gallons

Do i just add the salt directly into the aquarium then? Also it says that the salt doesn't get filtered and it doesn't evaperate. Should I add salt now and then wait until tomorrow to do a water change? Please Help

water change, then put the salt in VERY important to dissolve the salt in a bucket of water first, rays can burn themselves by sitting on the salt

use a bucket of tank water!,then just leave the salt in the water in the tank and your nomal water changes will dilute the salt away over time.

salt and perfect water do fantastic jobs at healing fish.

Ok I'm a little confuse but I think I got it. I'll be doing a 25% water change right now. Once the 25% water change is out I get a 5 gallon bucket and place clean fresh water from the hose. Then I add the amount of salt needed for the 72 gallon tank ijn the bucket of water. I wait until the salt dissolves in the bucket of fresh water. Then I poor the water with the dissolved salt into my aquarium, right? Just making sure

yes, that is correct and im sure you already know.... but you will need to upgrade ur tank soon

Yep thats right I'm actually saving up for a 6ft by 4ft by 2ft (L x W x H) he is just 5in disc so far. Thanks for answering my thread
