I have a 29 high tank with a Cascade 600 filter and an AquaClear 20 HOB; I do biweekly water changes, ~15% each change. Housed within the tank are a pair of angels (scalare), 6 white cloud minnows, and about a half dozen or so snails. Tank has been up and running for over a year with its current stock; parameters are good.

Last night my female was perfectly fine. This morning she had swollen, puffy lips. Didn't seem to interfere with her morning or evening feedings.

I've researched a bit and found that the most likely causes of the condition are physical damage (possibly the male's doing) and lip fibroma.

Anyone have pictures of both conditions to demonstrate differences in the presentation of the conditions? Or know if the fibroma would flare up that quickly? Or have an alternative? I'm hoping it isn't the fibroma, not looking forward to taking a knife to my fish.
