I just recently purchased a so called breeding pair of angels. It's been about 4 days since I've got them. Yesterday the larger one started getting aggressive towards the smaller one. It would chase or try to bite the smaller one out of its way. I seen it happened today again.
Tank size is a 29 gallon with just the two, with fake plants, and gravel. I am quarantining them at the moment. They are eating well and are active. Tank was already cycled with the last fishes that I had in there. I also added extra established bio medias from my other tanks. The temperature is set at 77-78 degrees F. Filter is a sponge filter.
Is this normal behavior for a breeding pair? Sorry, but this is my first pair of angels and had never really kept angels in the past. I'm just worried about the smaller one.
