I want to start breeding multiple angelfish in a 50 gallon aquarium and intend on diffusing them into large plastic storage containers to continue creating offspring/growing. (in the long run hoping to sell angelfish) .. any ideas, feedback, support would be very helpful thanks.

what do you mean breeding them in a 50 gal tank? From my experience and my breeding pair of angels, they killed off the other angels in the tank when they choose to mate..Also, when I had them in a community tank, they wouldn't hurt the other fish in the tank but..the eggs wouldn't last over night..they would either eat them or I'm sure other fish ate them...very defensive fish lol
I keep them in their own 60 gal tall tank.
However, the storage containers for the fry might work out..I'm not sure..I always just used a 20 gal tank once they were free swimming.

well I was planning on also using the storage containers to breed other pairs as they get bigger and start showing signs of choosing a mate and breeding. the 50 gallon right now is just to get pairs.

oo...that works :) Post some pics sometime..always love to see other angelfish breeding ideas:)

Anglefish are usually best to buy when they are at 3" long. Let them grow until 5" long and they'll pair themselves up and start breeding. If an anglefish at an adult hood, and brought from a fish store, its most likely will not breed since it was once paired before. They re more of likely to breed with tankmates that they grew up with.

i bought my small angels at round the size of 5 cm and after 1/2 a year they started to breed.
