Hey y’all! This site has been a huge help with my tanks! I currently have a male and female angelfish... and the female laid eggs and I’m pretty sure the male fertilized them. From what I’ve read the infertile eggs turn white... on day 1 I had a few white eggs, day 2 over half were white... and the parents were not eating them so I took them and put them in a 10 gallon with a bubbler close by to “fan” them. I also added some meth blue and removed all of the white eggs. This morning I have 5 clear eggs left and am not sure if they are even firtile. Is it possible that on day the eggs can still be clear and not fertilized?

Pics would help to give better advice. Yes White eggs are not fertile and usually cause a white mold to grow on them. brownish eggs are fertile and after a day you should start to see a black dot on them which is their eyes. If it's clear clear like a bubble then it's also not fertile. Hope this helps. Next time pull the eggs right after they finish spawning and put them in a 1 gallon jar with an air stone running over them with MB, after the second day watch carefully, if they start wiggling be ready to take out the MB before they become free swimming. Free swimmers need good clean water with no Methylen Blue. Usually on day 3 or 4 I change their water to not have any more MB. Good Luck
