is it possible to have one angelfish in a 12g?
angel's body is about 3.5in.
the angel was in a 45g but isnt getting along with the other angles in there.

so can an angelfish live in a 12g comfortably?

i was about to get another 45g tank and set up another community tank so this angel can have more room but im having second thought on getting another tank but I will if i have to.

the fish is probably at the bottom of the pecking order in the 45, and thus is getting less food. i would beef him up a little in the 12 and then try to reintroduce him

heres a quick story of the angel. i use to have him and another one in a the 45. he kept bullying the other one. so i went to buy 2 more angels to try and reduce the aggression. he bullied all of them so i removed the angel and put it in the 12g. then i went to buy another angel for the 45. so there are 4 angels in the 45g now. the one in the 12g is the biggest out of all of them. so i tried to reintroduce him to the 45g after being in the 12g for 3 weeks and he almost got killed in the 45g. the one he use to bully and another angel teamed up and gave him a real good beat down. torn fins and bite marks all over the body. so hes back in the 12g now. i feel really bad for him.

ughhhhhhhhh

There is nothing much you can do about it. If you keep reversing the plans, the established one(s) will still beat up the "intruder(s)".

I wouldn't put an Angel in a 12 g for life. With multiple water changes per week he wouldn't be stunted (high nitrates stunt fish, not too little space) but physically it's just not enough room for him to move. No way. Angels get about the size of coffee cup saucers. I've also got 4 in different tanks because of fighting. Sigh.
