In my 29G I have 3 angelfish, 1 blue gourami, 5 guppies, 5 corydoras and 3 red eye tetras.

2 of my angelfish just spawned, not sure if it's a M/F pair. One is significantly bigger than the other and is far more aggressive in chasing other fish from the eggs. The other is smaller and much more docile and kind of just hanging around the eggs and occasionally swimming over them. The small one also has a noticeable protrusion in it's underside.

I removed the gourami and other angel to a different tank. So it has 5 corydoras, 5 guppies and 3 red eye tetras. Will these smaller fish try to eat the eggs or fry? Will it even hatch? Any tips to get a successful spawn?

I heard that Cories will also eat eggs but suggest leaving them be because you may possibly cause the parents to stress and they may eat the eggs.

I removed the tetras, so its just 5 guppies and 5 cories. Idk if cories get much bigger but right now they are barely an inch. And the eggs are pretty high up on the glass and the big angelfish defends them furiously. I don't think they will get to them. If they hatch and the fry are free swimming, that's another question.

The eggs should be fine if the parents are defending them.
