angelfish species

altum, scalare, dumarilii

scalare is the most common and used in the species of koi angel's"

so, i want to learn the difference and find out which species my angels are..

and don't worry about Rags, he's healthy and well taken care of, his fins were broken like that when we got him, i felt sorry for him.. lol.

There are 3 described species.
P. altum, P. leopoldi (syn. P. dumerilii) and P. scalare. There are also several undescribed species.
All fancy varieties are P. scalare.
