I have three angelfish currently. Two of the angelfish have been facing of with each other, while the 3rd isnt paying much attention with the others.
Anyway wondering if there is any problems with this, since i have heard that they are better in pairs?

Angels are cichlids, therefore, they are territorial. How big of a tank do you have them in? They would also do better in groups of 4 or more. I resently read that for each Angel you should give them 10 gallons a piece.

I'd say just get a few more, rearrange the decor, and that might help.

i would try a couple more of equal size added at the same time to minimize any initial agression i recently added 6 more to my 75g and all 10 of them get along ok with the occasional face off and they are about 4 inch long without tails so are above breeding age which is when trouble usually starts just be aware though that if two do pair up in a 33g there wouldnt be much room for the rest to get away from the breeding pair

Yea, I have had a pair kill a few other angels in just a few hours. When they start breeding they get mean and fast. If the angels breed, just remove the eggs and they will calm down for about a week. Then they will start to breed again, and get mean all over again.

Later,

Billy

Since its just a 33g thats kind of tight for 3 angels see if you can sell the extra one and keep the pair
