ok a quick one. will blue acaras be kind to angels or is this mix a big no no? tank size will be 4x2x2 120 gallons. the angels wont be altum angels but will be koi and marble colour morphs.

I do not know for sure, but my angelfish are fine with my rainbow cichlids in a 125, and i beleive that acaras have similar temperaments to rainbows, so i think it would work provided hiding places were provided

probably not a good idea. but then again i have only had a breeding pair of blue acaras, not mixed with anything else. so im not sure
I had a Blue Acara (not a green terror) a few yrs ago who would not live with anythin it even attacked my Dempsey. I keep my angel with a jade eye, earth eater and pair of rainbow cichlids also butterfly cichlids are good although alot smaller than an acara. Hope that helps
do you mean Anomalochromis thomasi (african butterfly cichlid) or Microgeophagus ramirezi (common ram) when you say butterfly cichlid?
google brings both these up. both are very small though i have no experience with the african butterfly cichlid (very colourful though).

Trial and error is the only way to do cichlids imao.. Some will some won't.. They all have different temperments.
will not risk a blue acara then, not worth the possible destruction. will go with those butterfly cichlids or nigerian red kribs i think with angels and my uaru.
