Angels and Cardinals - Compatible?

Anyone keep angels and cardinals together?
Will angels eventually eat cardinals when they are fully grown?

I don't keep angels, but I'm sure adult angels would eat them without hesitation.

Cards and Neons seem to fair better in angel tank when the tetras are added lg when the angels are small. Although some are just buttholes and eat every tet in sight. I even have the odd huge discus that decides to start eating up cards. Roll the dice enough and anything can happen but if youre going to try it you're best bet is have the angels grow up around them so they hopefully never ID them as groceries.

I know it's not bio-tope kosher but if tankspace permits I've been stocking praecox rainbows in lg groups with angels for a slightly larger shoaling fish of similar color to cards thats large enough not to be snacks in my tanks with adult angels. Praecox rainbows get some wicked color when they're all hopped up on OmegaOne and NLS and they stay smallish (by MFK standards lol) compared to other rainbows.

i have a school of neons with a school of adult angels. no neons get eaten but the neons tend to stay at the bottom of the tank. i think they are scared to swim up.
