I am getting 6 angels to go into a tank that already contains 3 male pearl gouramis and a male and female blue gourami. Will the angels and labrynth fishes get along?

I asked the same question a while ago cuz one of my dwarf gouramies started out of the blue nipping on one of my angelfishs fins. From the resposes i saw that it's basically a hit and miss, some ppl had no issues and some like me had gouramies nip angels fins. so be prepared to remove the ones that start doing it.

If the angelfish are 2 times the size of the gouramis, they would scare them off to be swimming close.

In a community tank, the angel fish got to be the biggest for a sure bet.

fin nippers dont care about sizes. they nip fins its what they do. if the angels are the biggest in the tank it doesnt mean they will stay 2x bigger than gouramis. gouramis can get same size as angels. a buddy of mine had his african killed by a gouramis.

my only advice is:

do it if youre willing to risk it and you have a plan b if something were to happen

my gouramis have very long trailing fins especially the pearls. They tend to ignore each other most of the time and I have had no nipping problems. I did have to remove a mosquito fish that was nippy though. The tank is planted and has vertical roots for cover. Is this environment suitable?

Like I said do it if you please just have a plan b ready. Every fish has different temperament
