Hi there
My angels are losing their colors, their black stripes are pale now.
They are normal silver scalare, are growing nicely, but these past two days they start to lose their colors.
is it normal, like the stress bars in the discus ??
Make w/c today, and all the params are fine.
temp is 29°C pH 6,6 - 6,7

why didnt anyone answer!!!! I wouldnt be to worried try to keep the lights on a schedule and feed them foods high in protein, i feed all of mine bloodworms mixed with flake

tks man, no worries here, colors are coming back in most of them, feeding pellets, flakes, brine shrimp and bloodworms.

Angels, especially Silver Scalare, alter their colour based on their mood, comfort, health and fear-levels.

Mine turn almost all silver when scared (from a big water change, or being put into a new tank)

And their stripes go absolutely jet black when they are angry, fighting, or protecting their fry.

Its quite normal for them to change regularly, and even from all-silver to jet-black stripes in a matter of seconds (if something pisses them off).

When mine are content, they are silver with grey/black stripes, but not jet black.
