ive posted this in a couple forums trying to get the answer for this. I have 1 angel fish 3 red eye tetra 1 rapheal cat 1 peacock eel 1 pleco 1 golden snail, i have heard for the most part that cichlids dont mix with angels but i have also heard that there are a few cichlids you can put in with the angel. So if there are some that you can put in with the angel what are they?

you can put in with angels a festivum cichlid.

something rather passive and non-fin-nipping should be fine. rams, appistos maybe...

by the way..angels are cichlids... :)

severums and angels are fine..bushy nose plecos... great... i have a black ghost in with some of my angels no problem... i have some angels in hoplo cats and pleco...fine...i have some angels in with clown loaches..fine too..

Pending on your tank size I'd go with a type of earth eater, or apisto. I have my 2 with a SA Lungfsih, Leopard ctenopoma, 3 Gymngeophagus "Sequiera", a L18, and L200; all with no problems. I am moving the gymnos out but thats cuz a temperature preference.

Hi. You can have lots of different other cichlids with angels.. How big is your tank??? I currently have angels with geos in a 120 gallon... You can do rams, sometimes sevs... depending on the sevs personality.. but really a lot depends on the size of the tank... I've even kept angels with discus in a large enough tank.. Don't know how big that angel is now but remember it's gonna get pretty big.. While they can get nasty if they pair, most of the times angels are pretty mellow cichlids so you would have to team them with other mellow cichlids... The bigger the tank the more options... First and foremost, the angels and tetras thrive in a much lower ph and water hardness environment than any African.

It was not meant to be.....
