So I'm gonna try breeding Angelfish. AGAIN!!

I had a fascination a few years back about breeding Angelfish. So I read a few google results and then decided to go buy 4 Angels. I ended up putting them in the tank in my room (only eight gallons) and they soon out grew it. When they got too big I moved them too my 30 gallon (I know still not big enough but that's all I got). After I few months I noticed breeding behavior and acted accordingly(They were cleaning an area on my internal filter).

I moved all the other fish into other tanks and switched to a box filter. I wanted to let the parents raise them so I left them with the eggs. Everything went well for the first couple of days up until they were free swimming. No the parents were not eating them. After 3 days all of the few hundred larvae were gone without a trace.

This happened for about 3 or 4 times. Then my female died. It looked they got some genital disease. There privates were hanging out all the time and looked like tenticals.

So now a few years on I'm going to try the whole thing again. Got 4 new very beautiful Angels and they were in my room again. I have already moved them to the 30 gallon I'm hoping they will form a breeding pair again.

P.S. (Does anyone know what I could have done wrong and what was up with the privates??)

It could have been aggression. Angels are cichlids so it "could" have been from aggression. The other angels most likely ate them. When they breed you should take the other angels out.
