My black veil is having some massive aggression issues towards my zebra veil who i just recently brought home. He picks at his fins all the time then vibrates his body, im assuming its a territory thing, is there anyway to displace the anger by maybe setting up some sort of barrier with plants or something for different territories? Or will the anger eventually go away?

How many angelfish do you have in the group?? I think that the black veil is showing off on how big he is. Is there any lip locking??

Theres only the two. The only behavior is the picking at the fins and the biggest one vibrates his body

It is a bad Idea to have just 2 when they are not a pair. I would seperate them so that the one being picked on is safe. How big is your tank??

Its a thirty gallon but i plan on upgrading here really soon. I was hoping that they would be a pair but obviously not, I piled up big rocks and put plants all along the top so it created a barrier that they could still get through but still made a great place to hide. It worked great through the night, there were no new fin splits or anything. I guess its a temporary fix

I have a black veil-tail that killed his other two tank mates. That one is now kept separate from my other three angelfish. Two of them are a pair, and the other single one is in its own area as well. I use tank dividers.

Hes doesnt always pursue the zebra veil, the zebra acually picks most of the fights even though hes three times smaller. Other wise the black veil is pretty passive.

I think that the general rule is 10 gallons per Angelfish. Now that doesn't mean you should keep an Angelfish in a 10 gallon.

Through the years I have found black angels to be more aggressive than other strains. Also 2 together, as already stated, are not the best idea unless they are a pair. Wait till you upgrade and get at least 5 in my opinion. Also make visual barriers they can use to break line of sight.

Posting a picture of your tank could help with suggestions.

Right now theres a rock barrier about half way up the middle of the tank with plants at the top. Its working great! Iv noticed that the small angel just wont stay away from the big one! So the zebra is provoking the black veil...i thought that was a little weird that the little would pick on the big?
