Anguilla sp.

Hey, anyone keeping any of the various anguilla sp. (besides rostratus)? I would love to get back into eel-keeping, they're so underrated as aquarium inhabitants!

That being said, where would I be able to find A. marmorata/reinhardtii/australis? Any of the vendors in particular carry them regularly?

Nobody knows anyone who sells/ships any anguilla sp. (besides rostrata)????? Kinda hard to believe seeing as I've seen pics of many species on this forum in members' tanks...

Only Anguilla sp I've ever kept were traded in by a customer who works at the airport, where they apparently fell out of a crate lol.

I just caught an anguilla reinhartdii in my local creek - it's pretty cool, beautiful markings and seems to have some personality too.

My bristlenose catfish has tried to evict it from the hollow log already but the eel is about 10 times it's size! gutsy bristlenose!

I don't have any prior experience with eels so any info would be great.

The is a large pet store in Capalaba that I bought my first A. australis from. Every other eel i have ever owned has been A. australis found in my private dam. I totally agree though, eels are greatly underrated as aquarium pets. They always look great in tanks.
