IT'S fun in the water for this tiger and his handler, swimming in the outdoor pool of animal expert Dr Bhagavan Antle.
Measuring over two metres in length and weighing 90kg, this one-year-old tiger reaches for his handler with giant paws, then dives and splashes.
"Tigers have modified webbing between their toes that makes their feet like flippers so they are superior swimmers," Dr Antle said.
The tiger and other animals were on display in a specially built 450,000-litre pool, one side of which is entirely glass, at Dr Antle's Institute of Greatly Endangered and Rare Species, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
