Animal planet ran a show today about the top 10 biggest animal stories of 2008. At #3 in the countdown:
The Montauk Monster:

Well, apparently, a second carcass was recovered in montauk.
YOU compare.

One scientist noted that it appears to be a Dog, killed in an illegal dogfight and dumped into the sea. They noted the band of flesh or leather tied around the back ankle, possibly put there I guess as a mark by the dogfighters.
Oh, and if you heard that the photographer has this in her backyard, decomposing, and said well she actually does.
Last point: (Bet you guys saw this coming) I present: The Montauk Monster Toast!! (Gosh people are idiots!!)

What the hell are those? Yeah, sopmeone carved that image on the toast and is gonna pass it off as being natural. I think the same when people try to sell the toast with Jesus on it.

The photos are of the same animal just on it's other side. I'm pretty sure it's a raccoon, look at the front paws. Definitely not a dog.

No dude, in the first pic the "nose" is intact. In the 2nd, it has a hole in it...

Na, they proved this awhile back. It's two sides of the same animal. It was all a big scam. Sorry to rain on the parade.

Really? Oh, man! Well anywho, in the 2nd pic it does look like a dog. And as far as big scam, I do believe that it really appeared on a beach.
On another site I go on, a NY fishing site, a member posted a pic of a dead and decomposed Raccoon they found while surf fishing. It had some resemblence, but not as much as the above pictures do, in my eyes, a pit-bull.
