If any of you have seen the episode of animal planets "tanked" where they build the "man cave" tank that looks like a keg/whiskey barrel, you will notice they use an acrylic solvent with a viscosity similar to gear oil.

Instead of thin solvent which bonds thru capillary action, this stuff actually pours into any mold you want, and bonds with the parent material, which enables you to make difficult shapes.

Does anyone know what this stuff is called? Or the usage restraints of it?

If I had to guess I would say they disolved acrylic shavings in solvent to get that viscosity.

I dont know the name but did you notice the cichlids in a reef tank in that episode your talking about...lol

Ya most of their themes are terrible IMO but their craftsmanship seems pretty good.

Just because someone gets a TV show doesn't mean they are the best in the world... Just look at American chopper or sons of guns.

I wouldn't let the guys at red jacket touch any of my guns, and this is coming from a certified instructor, a placing IDPA instructor, certified Glock armorer, an AR style rifle builder, and a state champ trap shooter.

Sorry if I gloated a little lol
