So you know how they 'need' at least 3 months of dormancy/freezing cold weather to flower??? Well what if the azalea tree was kept outdoors on the patio where temperatures never dropped below 50° (a mild winter a few years back) and some evenings even got in the upper 80°'s and then in spring the tree continued to flower so intensively that it was like we've never seen before. (True story) - How is this possible? I thought Azaleas needed consistancy?
