Ok a two part ? and you have to get both parts right to win. 1st what is the true definition of a "clip" (we're talking American football btw) and second what is the true definition of a "Chop block"?
OK, PIZZLE u are incorrect on a chop block sorry.....EWURM you are incorrect as well on the chop block and im not sure on ur definition of a clip, please explain in full.
chop block-one blocking high and one blocking low is called a chop block, which is illegal because it can lead to injury
clip-Throwing the body across the back of an opponent’s leg or hitting him from the back below the waist while moving up from behind unless the opponent is a runner or the action is in close line play.
Littlevic wins! LOL Not entirely correct but close enough. I didnt specify that i was using High School rules but a chop block is a delayed high block after another player has blocked low. A clip is a block below the waist from behind! GOOD JOB! PM me and we'll figure out how to send u ur prize Littlevic.
In high school it's low-high NCAA used to use that rule but now its a low-high, high-low doesn't matter on delay. High school will soon follow in that rule as well as horse collaring.
Everyone is wrong...lol...A chop block is when you go low, without first initiating contact above the waste...You can hit high and slide down to take out the legs legally...And a clip is an illegal block in the back outside of the tackle box (where blocking in the back is legal)...
