another 55g stocking question

OK so the tank inhabitants are

1 needlefish 6in
1 JD 3.5 in
1 sengal bichir 5 in
1 BGK 3.5 in

want to add

1 convict
a couple colourful fish to fill in the space till some of the fish grow up then will be moved to a 20 long

Australian rainbow fish are pretty colorful. Plus the needle fish would be hard pressed to try to eat one of them, lol.

i have tried angels but they dont do good in my tank water

even tho water params are almost perfect

What are the water parameters between your lfs tank and your own water? There's no such thing as perfect with the water chemistry.

i dont know about the lfs params are but mine are
chlorine - 0
ammonia - 0
ph - 7
nitrite - 0
nitrate - >20
