I recently bought a 10' long tank that was said to be buffed out and when I got it home I noticed along the whole bottom across the front there is 6" from the bottom up that has scratches that I would like to remove and after reading all the threads on here about removing scratches I would like to know if there are any guys that do this proffesionaly and what are there procedures or methods, I purchased the novus system but after reading here I am not sure if thats the way I want to go. I talked to my local body shop guy (Arnies paint and body supply Crest Hill, IL.) and told him what I am doing and he told me about all the grits on sand paper up to 18,000 that they use on airplane windsheilds to make them perfect, so I am wondering if this is the way one has to go to get like new results. Is there any one out there that does this for a living and would share there skills with us or is this a real secretive trade for job security reasons?
