another anemone lost another fight with a power head

Well, I think the title says it all......

The power head was above my condy anemone for weeks. It fell off of the glass and sucked him in yesterday. He was all the way inside.

I have him in a small dip and pour tank in the display. I am doing this so he has the same amount of light and temp. i am currently adding and removing water from his small home every few hours. It is quite amazingthat he is still alive.

He is pretty bad. He lost several tentacles and it ripped his trunk. He trys to inflate his tentacles and move some. i guess time will tell.

Sucks. I read about this happening pretty often too.

With good water qaulity and proper feedings, he could make it. It is surprising what they can take, but it is also surprising how little it can take to kill one too. Just keep an eye on him, because when they go, they can nuke a tank. Hope everything works out for you.

happend to me to some how it was overnight but i woke up and checked on everyone and he was now where to be found and first place i check was that powerhead and he was jammed in there, he never maid it out alive. damn powerheads! friends canister killed his jardini arow when it didnt have the cover on the intake pipe that was one of the worst ive seen so far

Condys are so tough...that being said it is still amazing that it is alive and didnt nuke your tank.
